Pre-Production Series (that explains how the fictional characters from the Los Angeles Dystopia were inspired by the real-world couple, Lynda and Stewart Resnick.

Penelope: Tell us how you got inspired to tell this story.

Louis: The first time I read the Odyssey I didn’t even know what it was about, even in college the odyssey seemed interesting, but kind of boring - I’m a visual learner, and when my vocabulary was at a lower level it was hard for me to immerse myself in literature that way it was written - my insight came when I realized that it was this ancient literature that was the foundation for the story that we’re in right now - that’s how I came to the conclusion that we’re in a Biblical simulation where the physics of truth is largely ignored by the corporate media spell.

Penelope: How did the Odyssey influence you?

Louis: In Homer’s Epic series, the character Odysseus bulbs a Trojan Horse to ultimately allows the Spartans to invade the Land of Troy - The Spartans, from Odysseus point of view were the bad guys, but I took the position that Odysseus realized his mistake; and decided to help the Trojans win back their Kingdom.

Penelope: So you’re the King of Ithaca who has changed his mind and are now helping return Helen of Troy to the Trojans?

Louis: Having gone to USC, I thought it was a pretty clever perspective -- and so I changed the story to be a Pirate King, just like the King of Ithaca, Odysseus - but now I am defeating the Spartans and returning Helen to the land of Troy.

Penelope: Who is playing the role of Helen of Troy?

Louis: I have an actress in mind, but it’s not realistic to talk about it yet.

Penelope: You are playing a role?

Louis: I’m not an actor, but in OpomystiK, I am asking participants to role play - so as a teacher and director, it’s just easier if I demonstrate it by using my own narrative to initiate the purpose of the story.

Penelope: What is the purpose of OptomystiK?

Louis: To match media to reality, and create local opportunities where all can thrive.
